Normal/lukewarm water
Salt (optional)
Desi Ghee (optional)
- Put the wheat flour, salt, and ghee into a bowl and mix the ingredients together. We can skip Ghee & Salt as well.
- Add a cup of water according to the quantity of the flour and knead the mixture until it's soft. At first, the mixture will feel pretty coarse, but as we add little more water and knead with our knuckles as much as we can and add little more water knead, in this whole process flour will absorb water and become sticky, the flour should be not too tight or loose
- Cover and put the kneaded flour for sometime to rest.
- After 10 minutes uncover the kneaded flour and again knead it, put the Tawa on flame to heat up and then put some dry flour in your hand take a small ball, just roll it in your hand to round and flatten the ball on the chakla drench the flatten ball with flour both side and roll it with the Chapati Roller time to time need to drench the chapati in dry flour and roll until it flatten round, The time we are flattening need to move the ball 360 degree while putting some pressure on right hand side and little pressure on left hand side of roller.
- Till the time our Tawa has been heat up now we will put the properly flattened chapati on the tawa and after few seconds need to flip the chapati and rotate the chapati to ensure that it is evenly cooked on the another side and in between we need to check the flame heat also it should not be more or less.
- Once it evenly cooked on the second side, its time to puff the chapati and either we will puff it on the stove or on the tawa itself, we will turn the chapati and put on tawa from first side and press it from roller till it puffs well. Tawa puffed Chapati will not make gas in stomach and even more healthy
- Now put the Chapati in Casserole, use spoon or stand to put chapati in casserole so the sides of chapati did not wet.
